The parrot was made by mixing different hot fix Angelina to create 3
different sheets of fabric which were then used like any applique fabric
would be. |
The Dragonfly card was made from the 3-D life Crystal Embroidery Design Set.
The back wings were sewn on organza and the top wings are free standing.
The back wings have a slightly different color Angelina in them. and Fuchsia
Crystals run up the dragonfly in a few sizes |
This Gift pouch was made using the 3-D Life Crystal Embroidery Design Set.
The bag is fabric and the flower has Velcro behind it for the clasp. |

"I
pressed the Angelina on rubber stamps for the shaped pieces. I trimmed
some of them close and left some of them very fuzzy. The hair was done
by sprinkling a thin layer of the fibers onto a sheet in a circle, covering
with another sheet, and pressing. The broach was made from a thicker
sheet which I then cut out and gathered. |
 |
I used the Angelina on the hats of both ladys.
I could not believe how it made them sparkle. I think it adds just the
right touch to these wonderful appl. designs.
The designs are from Wendy
Fisher of "Creatively Yours" designs.

#6 I pressed together five different colors of
angelina. Two were non-hot fix which were layered in between the hot fix.
This I used as the applique fabric for the top of the parrot. I needed
colors that were iridescent (sp) as well as blending into each other so they
looked real. Note that there are different shades within the top part where
the angelina is. The result was absolutely perfect, just what I needed. |

#7 The top butterfly has Calypso & Aurora Borealis
under it; the bottom butterfly has Crystal amethyst & Sugar Plum. I also
used crystals on each flower as well as some small ones on the butterfly
wings. The design was a free download from Outback Embroidery. |

Bowl with vinyl,
organza, Angelina and blue prism glitter. |
I hooped one layer of 12 gauge
vinyl, placed pale blue silk organza on top of the vinyl, then the
Angelina,(fused Calypso,Opal and Purple Flash)Sprinkled blue Prism Glitter
on top of the organza and then another layer of vinyl. I programmed a
stipple stitch with a royal blue rayon embroidery thread in my machine so
the layers and glitter would not shift. The remainder of the stitching is
the outline. The designs is from Sue Gardner's
Wipe Clean Bowls and Doilie(SewN4u). I used a #11 embroidery needle. The
pieces were sewn with clear monofiliment thread.Such fun-this is very addicting and
does not take long to stitch out and complete. Instant gratification!!

I used the Angelina in between two pieces of organza and a wash away
stabilizer. It's really difficult to see the Angelina in between the
two layers of organza as I matched the Angelina to the organza, especially
the red flower. You could see part of it on one of the leaves from the
red flower. For the centers of the two flowers I used the
"lemon-Sparkle" Angelina and glued on a bead to hold the fiber down.
The flowers turned out really gorgeous. The pictures really don't show
up that well compared to the real thing! |
